DEPARTMENT I: NEEDLE & FANCY WORK

Please Note: All Departments must be in  by Monday, August 26th at 8:00pm for Judging on Tuesday, August 27th.

Articles for Entries will be accepted Sunday, August 25th from 12 Noon-6:00pm and Monday, August 27th from 9am-8:00pm. All Judging will take place on Tuesday, August 28th.

One Exhibitor per entry per lot unless otherwise specified or in "other" category.

All Entry Forms Close on August 20th.

Entries must remain in place until 5:00 pm on Monday, Sept. 42nd and must be removed by Tuesday, Sept. 3rd by 2:00 pm. The Fair is not responsible for items left after 2:00 pm on Sept. 5th.  Entries removed prior to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2nd relinquish all prizes and ribbons associated with entries.

SPECIAL AWARDS

Receive 2 FREE 1 day passes for this years Lancaster Fair, when you exhibit items in the Arts and Crafts hall, and acquire 75 or more points.  An exhibitor’s pass will be given to an exhibitor acquiring 200 or more points.

Red Ribbon (second place) 15 points
Yellow Ribbon (third place) 10 points

Exhibits will be judged on Tuesday before the fair opens, so be sure to include your telephone number, and we will contact you if you achieve the 75 or more points for your FREE passes.

Judging will take place Tuesday. Exhibits must be at the Hall by Monday at 8 pm.
Only items as listed will be judged.
No premium will be paid on articles that have won premiums previously at any fair of the Coos and Essex Agricultural Society.
All articles must be completed during current year by the exhibitor. ONLY ONE ENTRY IS ALLOWED PER PERSON IN EACH LOT  unless otherwise specified.
Articles will be judged on color, design, appropriateness, workmanship, and cleanliness. (Soiled articles will be disqualified by the judge.)
Hints on what Judges look for:
1. Be sure articles are completely finished off, i.e. rug binding completed;seams completed;yarn ends woven in.
2. Be sure articles are in the correct category, i.e. Wall hangings must have hangers; Hot mats and pot holders must be usable as same.  QUILTED EXHIBITS BELONG TO DEPARTMENT P.
