Bring your favorite pie creation, along with the recipe in a disposable pie tin to the Arts and Crafts Hall on Friday, August 29th by 3 pm for judging at 4pm

Class 001 – Open to All Ages
1st-$100.00; 2nd.-$70.00; 3rd.-$50.00; 4th.-$25.00; 5th.-$10.00

Fair is not responsible for return of pie plates, all food will be auctioned off after judging, proceeds to benefit the upgrade of the Arts and Crafts building

This is a display of up to 10 items from a personal collection, artistically displayed for public viewing. Each display is limited to a area of 2 feet x 1 foot depth and 1 foot heighth, it is open to all ages. All displays are entered at the risk of the exhibitor.

Open to children ages 3-12 years old. Basket should be no larger than 12” across. Basket should show the favorite vegetables of that child. There is no limit on the size, or quantity of vegetables. They should be attractively arranged by the child. Age of child should be on the entry tag. Veggies can be grown by the child or if necessary purchased at a farm stand. “Please no help from parents.”

CHIP AND DIP CONTEST

Bring your favorite dip to the arts and crafts building on Thursday, August 28th by 1 p.m.  The dip will be divided into small cups for the public to individually judge.  The judging will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Rules:

  1. Contestants must be a resident of Essex or Coos county; one entry per person.
  2. Preentry is not required (see below) and is due as follows: received by Saturday, August 30th by 3:30 PM.
  3. Exhibitor must bring the opened or empty bag of King Arthur Flour or submit a UPC label from the flour bag when he/she submits the entry.
  4. Entry must be your favorite whoopie pie–whatever recipe he/she desires.
  5. An entry form must accompany the entry. (Available below)
  6. All entries must be submitted on a disposable container for judging.
  7. Recipes are to be submitted with entries.
  8. Judging will be based on the following criteria:
    1. Flavor 50 points
    2. Overall Appearance 25 points
    3. Texture 25 points
      TOTAL: 100 Points
    4. Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification.
